First story, yaaaay! I thought I'd share a short part of what I will be posting sometime later of a story I've been working on.
It's based off Skyward Sword, (as said in the title) a Legend of Zelda game. For those who don't know what Legend of Zelda is, it's a well-known video game series that I absolutely love. UwU
Hopefully you all like it, maybe I'll do more stories??? Who knows.
Link jogged out of the bathroom, swatting off a scrap piece of toliet paper from his boot. He was eager for the festivities the annual wing ceremony brought, most excited to see Zelda. They've been friends ever since the elf could remember, and he wouldn't want it any other way.
"Hey, Link!" Pipit waved a hand up, catching Link's attention. Strolling over, he tilted his head slightly. "Today's the wing ceremony, and here you are just chilling! Everybody is at the plaza, practicing. Then again, with that crimson bird of yours, I'd be confident too." Pipit leaned in, a finger and a thumb placed beneath his chin. "See, I'm known around for my knowledge on birds, so if ever need my bird expertise, just come up and chat, yeah?"
Link nodded, smiling. Good ol' pipit, too excited for today's ceremony. Waving a quick goodbye, Link demanded himself to greet Zelda before it had started.
Unfortunately, Fledge looked as if those barrels would crush his small figure. Feeling the urge to help, the young hero walked over and tapped Fledge's shoulder. This frightened Fledge, as he dropped a barrel.
"Oh no..." Slumping, Fledge perked up at seeing Link. "Link! Oh, you scared me. The ceremony is today, are you ready?" Link nodded confidently, hands on hips. "Haha, I figured you were. I have to stay behind, watch over the academy. But before you go, can you help me take that to the kitchen?"
"Of course I can-!" Link said with a grunt, heaving that heavy barrel overhead. Squatting like an underwater crab, he slowly crept his way towards Henya to drop it off.
Now that deed is done, time to meet Zelda! He CAN'T delay it anymore then he has. Shouting a friendly goodbye to Fledge, and giving a care-free grin, Link exited through the academy's top entrance, leading to technically speaking it's roof.
"Link! Over here." Professor Horwell called. With curiosity striking, probably always getting the best out of him, he jogged towards. "The long awaited wing ceremony is today, I hope you practiced well enough. Yet, I have a favor. My cat has climbed above there-" he pointed to a higher platform just above. Link slumped, sighing. The things he does for everyone. "Can you get her? I'm afraid she might be hurt."
Link willingly attempted, hanging over a wooden ledge to get to this smaller area near vines. Those would lead to the roof, thus revealing Horwells cat. Cautiously stalking over, he knew how these creatures worked. Achieved getting more scratches than anyone from them.
Swinging his arms around, Link managed to catch it. Getting it to calm, however, was a different story. With tons of struggling, and fits of hissing, he handed the vicious cat over to Horwell quicker than you could even say a single letter.
"Thank you, and good luck." The professor nodded, as Link blew a fly away strand from his face. NOW he HAS to get to Zelda. Quick.
